Dear Clients and Ticketholders,
We hope everyone is safe, healthy and well.
We also wanted to provide you with an update regarding the Tokyo Olympic Games with the information we have received to date specifically as it relates to event tickets.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of specifics yet from the IOC or the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organizing Committee but below is what we can share with you:
- The IOC and Tokyo 2020 are working with the International Federations to finalize the revised event schedule and impacted qualification events. The target date to have this completed is by the end of May 2020 or in early June 2020.
- Once the event schedule is finalized, Authorized Ticket Resellers such as Cartan, are expecting to get the new version sometime in June or July 2020.
In general, we are expecting a smooth operational transition due to the postponement of the Games with no specific issues or adjustments to any of our services which are still available for purchase via our website of https://cartanglobal.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=…44&e=dd54210481 (other than tickets which won’t be available again until the new schedule is released).
For clients who have already purchased tickets from Cartan, your orders will remain valid for the new dates/times in 2021.
Also, once we receive the revised schedule from Tokyo 2020, we will distribute updated confirmations for events that have already been purchased.
We are also still waiting on specific information from Tokyo 2020 on any refund opportunities for international clients. We have not been advised on how and when tickets can be returned and refunded at this time but are anticipating further information in this regard in June or July of this year.
