Many of you will visit Poland in upcoming days. So i think few tips will be helpfull.
1. Going to Warsaw from the border using A2 highway you have to be prepared that not all A2 is build yet. Officials says that it will be ready on 01.06 but it is hard to predict it will be so. So you have to be ready to use other roads for about 50 km.. But signs will be prepared if necessary.
Close to Warsaw be prepared for traffic jams.
2. Going to Gdansk thru Berlin, Szczecin, Koszalin you need to prepare about 5-6 hours to get there. No highway.
3 Going to Gdansk from Warsaw better will be going by Plonsk!!! and then connect to A1 in city of Torun. Going by A2 and then to A1 (connection in Strykow) you have to be prepared on traffic jams.
4. Road from Germany to Wroclaw is very easy, nice highway. Further to Ukrain is nice highway as well but not to the border.
Trains works well and is on time.
People are friendly, beer is cold and tasty. Stadiums are ready.
