    Das ein Auftritt einer Band wie jetzt bei RaR mit Rammstein so früh veröffentlicht wird, ist eher selten. Ab Januar kann man eigentlich mit den ersten (zahlreichen) Veröffentlichungen rechnen.

    FIRST BATCH OF CONFIRMED ACTS FOR GMM 2010!





    The first truckload of names for Graspop Metal Meeting 2010 has been confirmed! The format is still the same: GMM tries to put together a varied lineup to cater to a wide spectrum of metal tastes. Still, since 2010 marks the festival’s 15th anniversary, you can better believe we’re pulling out all the stops!





    Rumours have been flying for weeks and we feel we’ve made you sweat long enough so let your hair down, warm up those neck muscles and pull your lederhosen from the back of your closet because here are the first twenty-odd names for Graspop Metal Meeting 2010:





    KISS

    IMMORTAL - MY DYING BRIDE -TARJA TURUNEN - RATT - BEHEMOTH - IGNITE

    KORPIKLAANI - SEPULTURA - ANVIL - JON OLIVA’S PAIN - WALLS OF JERICHO
    TANKARD - BLEEDING THROUGH - ALESTORM - ALL SHALL PERISH

    THE FACELESS - NECROPHOBIC





    Glam rockers KISS are embarking on a new world tour next year in support of their latest studio effort ‘Sonic Boom’. Just two years after their triumphant gig at GMM2008, this seminal glamour band is back for more with a new show featuring special effects, confetti cannons, a huge luminous KISS logo and, last but not least, the inevitable glitter costumes and make-up.



    TARJA TURUNEN, our Finnish soprano with the heavenly voice, will showcase her new album, ‘What Lies Beneath’. Since her departure from Nightwish in 2005, Tarja has been focusing on her solo career and her new full-length effort is certainly another step in the right direction. Set for an early 2010 release, the new CD promises to be much more personal than her solo debut.





    Also back from the eighties are the popular hard rockers from RATT. Their new studio album ‘Infestation’ is scheduled for a March 2010 release and the accompanying tour includes a stop in Dessel.









    This first batch of names also includes quite a bit of heavier stuff: IMMORTAL, BEHEMOTH, NECROPHOBIC, THE FACELESS and TANKARD. The latter thrash-metal band is making its GMM debut this year. With song titles such as The Beauty and the Beer, Beast of Bourbon, B-Day and Kings of Beer it’s pretty obvious where their inspiration comes from. After all, Tankard are the self-proclaimed inventors of ‘alcoholic metal’.



    We’re also proud to confirm the following acts: MY DYING BRIDE - IGNITE - KORPIKLAANI - SEPULTURA - ANVIL - JON OLIVA’S PAIN - WALLS OF JERICHO - BLEEDING THROUGH - ALESTORM - ALL SHALL PERISH and DEADLOCK.
